I need help ripping

Postby kosiji » Mon Mar 12, 2007 8:56 am

Ok, I usually download my anime from torrent sites, but now I want to start ripping them from my dvd's.

1. What program do I use to rip the anime's from my dvd to my computer?

2. How do I convert them to avi once they're on the computer. I mean I have the program to convert them, but wont they be iso once they're ripped?

If anyone can help please email me at: Bxhotshot718@yahoo.com or check my profile and hit me up on myspace. I appreciate all of your help.

Maybe I'm just technologically retarded, but I'm finding the whole process of ripping/encoding DVD footage to be very confusing and...dare I say it?...more trouble than it's worth. I've been following that tutorial, and my head feels like it's going to explode. I don't know... I really don't have the time to mess with the dozen-ish programs that came along with AMVamp, but I guess I'm gonna have to stick with it if I want to make a really good AMV. :/

Actually... it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Most of the stuff at the beginning of the EADFAG is just video babble, but if you take the time to piece together what needs to be done, it becomes second nature. I started following the guide a little over a year ago and now I can rip, encode, filter, blah blah blah an entire series in about a day or so. Just stick with it and go in with an open mind. Most problems turn out to be stupid mistakes.
