I was like yelling "PWNED" when Lelouch arrived with the Geassed police force and ordered them to shoot him. Though according to the peeps who saw episode 16, Mao may still be alive.

Well considering that he had to lisen to the thoughts of everyone around him for 11 years continuous, with the only way to stop it by isolating himself from everyone. I don`t think it`s astonishing that he got a little(very) crazy. :P
But I thought it was hilarious when Mao wanted to make CC "compact" so that she would fit as carry-on luggage! He kind of remindet me of sawyer from Black Lagoon in that scene.
Quite of bit of stuff happened in episode 16!
- Mao is ALIVE?!! And he decided to kidnap Nunnaly. Lelouch is not pleased!

- Milly and Lloyd?!!! WTF, is Sunrise smoking?!

- Man, there's a side of Cornelia you don't see more often. Look how "playful" she is with her sister Yuffie! 8-)

- Because of the kidnapping, Lelouch and later Suzaku teamed up in order to get Nunnaly out of the bomb trap. This required a really cunning plan in which Lelouch Geassed himself so Mao doesn't read his mind while Suzaku slashed the right wire in order to disarm it.

- In a last desperation attempt for Mao to escape, he used his Geass power on Suzaku which revealed that he killed his father. Lelouch acted quickly and used his Geass against Mao to shut his mouth.

- And in the end, C.C. was waiting for Mao, and she shot his brains out. Hopefully Mao would stay dead!
Funny, the spoiler tag doesn't work on the topic summary beneath the reply text window. It says "Spoiler (highlight to view)" but you can read the spoiler normally.
I just wonder what C.C. was doing in China if she thought Mao was dead. Is she running errands for the Black Knights now?
And what was everyone's impression on the Picture Book things on the DVDs? I thought it was fairly nice, and a good way to leak in the history of Lelouch, Nunnaly and Suzaku together, but it reminds me too much of Paper Mario

Episode 17 freakin' ROCKED!!!
Toudou got captured so the Japanese Liberation Fleet joined forces with the Order of the Black Knights in order to get him back. The Japanese also got new mechs and new suits as well (Karen got a new suit as well). They were successful in bringing back Toudou.

And then came Suzaku's Lancelot to join in the fun.
And here's the badass part!
Lelouch actually has a PLAN against Lancelot!!!

And they were ALMOST successful except when they discovered that Suzaku is the one that's piloting the mech. At that time Lelouch pretty much froze and told everyone to retreat (they had to anyway since reinforcements came). And the end of the episode had Lelouch laughing maniacally ala Light style. You know he has a devious plan up his sleeves that involves that!

And Yuffie declared that Suzaku will be her knight.
And has anyone noticed how C.C. gets a different outfit for almost every episode?

C.C. is too sexy to have a limited wardrobe!

And yeah, I my fave 'quote' had to have been that part where Lelouch says:

"She's all mine, even the parts of her you HAVEN'T seen! mauahahahahahah!"
few eps back...
Best quote EVAR!!!

What to do now that he knows who's doing what to whom at this point...

Damn Lelouch has all his cards ready now..,
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV

The most awesomenessistic quote in the Universe!!!!1!!1!!1!eleven!1!

Yes, I realize the doubled irony of writing "eleven" in this context.

Great, except OPs don't usually have lipsync. I liked how he even adapted the credits.

Episode 18 was TOO AWESOME! 8-)

The OP sequence got some new scenes in it. This caught my eye:

IT'S KAZUMAAAAA!!!! :o
Zero has a plan to trap Suzaku which ended up very successfully. Zero then attempts one more time to get him to join the Order of the Black Knights, but obviously he refused. With the fact that Zero is found in one spot, Britannia decided that Suzaku should maintain his position so they can start blasting them; it's pretty much a suicide mission. Karen and later Yuffie quickly came in hope to get them out of there......

EVIL CLIFFHANGER!!! :x
One thing I noticed is that Nina's last name is Einstein, and she was working with radioactive isotopes on the computer. Can we imply that nuclear weapons hasn't been invented yet in that alternate world? It would make an interesting plot device later on.

Oh yeah,
does the next episode title give out Gundam SEED vibes with the whole "alone with your enemies on a deserted island" thing?
I wonder if that means we can get to see.....oh you know.....

You're only getting the SEED vibes now? I've been spotting them since around the time they brought in Euphemia. One of the more unusual theories I've heard about it is, reportedly, there were several staff members at Sunrise who were displeased with how SEED Destiny turned out. As such, a lot of the shows since have kind of had assorted mini-riffs on SEED elements (some less blatantly than here)
It's sort of like some people at Sunrise going "See...this is how you handle it." (or, if you prefer the blunter style "I could pull a better anime out of my ass!"

That said, still kind of a pity Mao's overall presence in the series only really amounted to about two or three plot revelations.
I actually kind of felt bad for him.

Is there any chance that Suzaku of the Counterattack and Nightmare of Nunnaly will be turned into anime as well?
