Story telling help...

Postby RealDeal X » Fri Oct 11, 2002 4:14 pm

Ok, my new project is Final Fantasy VII... i have all the CG videos that i ripped off the game using PSXmc.... i'll probably get a verbal bashing for asking this, but is there anyway, or any program i could use to rip fight scenes... unfortunately, as i'm sure lots of you know the games cut scenes don't tell the story all that well when you just watch them, so i guess i'm just trying to find any other way to get other images of the characters and their actions to put into this.... thanks.

Well if you have a capture card, you could technically hook your psx up to the computer and then capture the ouput from it while you're playing. The problem though if probably you have little meters and text throughout the game and that would look mega ugly.

I would suggest against it. You may look on the internet for stills of the characters or you could also use text to describe what's happening in your video :\

I thought there was a button you could press in FFVII that would hide those meters.

my computer's really new, but as far as i know, it doesn't have a video capture card... and i wouldn't even know where to begin with hooking it up... thanks for the advice anyway, i'll just have to make do. wish me luck, this'll be the first video i could submit to the site (anime related)
