APP 1.5 problem.

Postby Rapture** » Tue Mar 06, 2007 9:26 am

okay,so i got a little problem. you see my Premiere Pro 1.5 is not accepting any XviD vids, well it accepts, but instead of picture it shows me blank media (though i can hear sound). i tried encoding to DivX , but that didn't gave me much of results. i have installed AmvAPP so with avisynth or other codecs (i have latest divx, xvid, and K-Lite codecs) . here's images :

here is what i have with just encoded and segmented DivX coded ep :

Image

it shows me either one image,or isn't showing anything at all and goes like "you are f**ker,i don't like you so i'll stop responding" (probably that's what my Premiere thinks).

and then i tried using other method - that is FourCC changer. and results was like this :

Image

it only shows me the picture, but when i press play it's not playing, just staying still. that's probably because when i tried FourCC changer, upper box was like divx, and lower was like DX50 . :? but that didn't help me at all,my Premiere still continued to not respond or didn't accept footage at all.

then was that XviD try. it looked like this :

Image

in left window,it showing normally, but in right(result window) it shows only bland media. when i try to export,it's exporting bland media. but using XviD makes Premiere work nice, and it doesn't stops responding (that's like heaven to me).

i don't use any of Huffyuv or Lagarith because my hdd doesn't allow me to use such a thing. i mean one episode takes 11GB of hdd space when using Huffyuv (my hdd is very small,so i can't allow such thing to myself).

one more thing. i don't like to use DivX because it kills quality. Xvid is much pretier and smoother that those DivX. i compared them by trying to convert 1:30 min lenght vid. XviD result was pretty, not blurred at all - flows like extracted from DVD (of course quality was lower that DVD but it was nice anyways) , and DivX looked like WMV9 codec that was recompressed 20 .

some may say that it's my DivX promlems, but there you are wrong. i'm using DivX 6.5.1 codec. so don't say me like "you need a better version of codecs".

i'll say my problem again :

My Premiere Pro 1.5 isn't accepting XviD footage, and on DivX it stops responding. So if you know any plug-ins or maybe stuff like that (anything that would allow me to work on my vids) i would be very thankful.

i will wait now,and thanks in advance.
