MP3's dont work?!?

Hi. I was just using MP3's fine on my Vegas 6.0, and then suddenly I get into Vegas, first of all, I can't seem to find any songs in the explore so I:
right-click>view>show all files

Then when select a song where it supposed to say

Video stream:XXX
Audio stream:XXX

or just audio stream something, it just says

C:\My Songs\[Song name].mp3

It won't go into my timeline! Even me old songs that I am sure worked, don't work! What's going on?

have you tried "drag and drop" it onto the timeline?

Yea it shows the little NO sign(Circle with line through it, like you see with don't smoke stuff lol.)

When I double click:

An Error occured while opening the file.

The file is an unsupported format.

Details:File C:\My Songs\Yellowcard- October Nights.mp3 could not be opened.

That's why I named the post MP3's dont work?

have you tried converting it to a WAV file?

see if that works?

Well that worked. Thanks a lot. I guess I'll have to make my AMV songs into Wav now. Time to make my AMV.

ooo just so you know u shouldnt edit with mp3s at all only wavs
