I want to make an AMV, but I'm hitting a lot of snags.

I have Windows Movie Maker as an editor, but how do I get footage from a DVD to that? Help would be greatly appreciated!

there are a number of free programs that will let you rip dvds, these guides will give you a good start

I'm still hitting snags! I tried the dvd decrypter. Worked about as good as giving SHadow the hedgehog a pistol and calling it a game.

If you get an error message like "ASPI Initialization failed" upon starting up DVD Decrypter you have to install an ASPI layer before you can continue.

I haven't gotten any error mesages, I just opened the decrypter, and had no idea what to do next.

Ahh, I remember this fun. ^^; You're best to take your time with a guide and double check. Jaddi-jelly probably has a good guide, if you have any questions after that, don't hessitate to ask them.

Also, don't forget to read the FAQ once you've decrypted. ^^
