Time is upon us. Come on out Orwell, it's your first turn and even Doomsday 1.3 can wait.

AMV League MC Round 2

Postby dokool » Wed Feb 28, 2007 9:07 pm

It's just about Wednesday night at 9PM EST, so it's time for another round of Mornington Crescent. Today I host live from an overheated Shinjuku cybercafe, as I've spent the last hour or so cutting through Japanese red tape. They give away ice cream here, how awesome is that?

The current standings:
Player Wins-Losses
Orwell 1-0
dokool 0-1
Otohiko 0-1

We'll be playing a modified version of the North London Rules today. All crosses are inverted, diagonals can't be played in spoon, and Dollis Hill is wild. Additionally, the Trellis Gap has been closed, meaning that one cannot replicate Orwell's surprise victory last session.

Speaking of Orwell, you won the last match, so you get the first move today.

He's got five minutes, then the turn reverts to Otohiko.

Okay, by my clock it's been 5 minutes. Otohiko, would you kindly get the game started?

Mile End

This isn't random, there is a strategy in here if you REALLY know your game.

Yes, and that's why I'm taking

Shepherd's Bush (the south one if I have to choose, but I thought North London allowed taking a double on that)

North London does indeed allow for a double.

Methinks I'll retreat to an old favorite move of mine, Royal Victoria.

You're joking. That from Ruislip?

I'm gonna bump you off with...

Marble Arch

since I bumped him he's the one who's gonna have to deal with the dead hand, else we'll get him on the spoon in one or two...
