Need help with ripping Advent Children

Postby RIPmyprsoul » Wed Feb 21, 2007 3:46 pm

I want to rip my Advent Children DVD but when I extract the ISO of it in Nova Extractor all it gets is a 0 byte file...and when I try to play it windows media player, or media player classic it says that there is a DVD Copy Protection thing...Any ideas?

You want to rip the IFO files, not the ISO. The ISO is a copy of the disc. Using DVD Decrypter takes off the copy protection.

use dvdDecrypter to rip the vobs (using either file mode or ifo mode)
you can then convert them to usable files, or index them and de-interlace with avisynth. (this second option is reccomended. Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides for more info)
then take small clips and save them as avi files with a lossless codec such as lagarith.

nothing in this process of ripping footage from dvds uses nova extractor
