Ok, I want to know how to remove interlancing using virtual dub and I want to know what is interlacing in a video.

You're probably going to want to filter and whatnot with avisynth anyways, so your best bet is to do the whole thing in a script just to get a feel for the scripting.

lol; no, like all of your footage prep. Deinterlacing, cropping, color correction, smoothing, sharpening, etc. I should have been more clear.

Yes, i know. And i was being passive-agressively helpful :D

That does require some serious skill to do all your editing in avisynth. I can't remember who it was that claimed they did that once. It probably wouldn't be as difficult for, say, a slow drama video with long fades as it would for heavily synced action plastered with effects.
