Kadaj wrote:dude, any relationship is capable of producing genetic conditions that deter from the 'normal', but inbreeding is just one of the most likely, and of course i'm going to use that argument, as that is a fair reason WHY inbreeding is generally considered inappropriate. anyways, that's not a discussion for here.
I do agree that the situations portrayed in Elfen Lied with the option of killing a child to save society are very confronting and add depth and interest to the story. I think the yuka/kohta relationship was still rather weak in the anime, as apart from making a fragile love triangle with kohta, lucy and yuka, it did not serve a great deal of purpose. again it does make a nice moral issue about relationships which adds to the confronting nature of the series.

Does this mean that you don't support "society's opinion" on incest and inbreeding? I'm curious because this deals prominently with the moral, lesson, and or wisdom that I assume one should form after watching Elfen Lied. If this happened in real life or if a similar set of events happened, how would you face this world? How would your actions and your beliefs be affected?
possible spoilers wrote:i would support the killing of diclonious? would i defend the right of one to survive even if it cost the life of me and everything i know? Would i condemn a diclonious for it's differences if i saw one?
Most importantly though, how can anybody put themselves in a position of judgement that could define the life or death of the human race in this way.
