Ripping Scenes from a DS Game, (Yes, unorthodox)

Postby Sky-Wolf » Mon Feb 12, 2007 11:02 pm

I'm aware that the DS is a console that does have a lack of cutscenes but there are games out there for it that do have scenes. I've scoured the internet (maybe an exaggration :3) and found no reasonable course for doing such. I would like to know if there were any method available for doing such a thing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You would need to use an emulator that can run the game. The problems with that though are that none of the emulators are perfect yet, and they are slow. It's quite possible that you can never even make it up to the scene that you want to play in the emulator. Anyways, you would need to run it in the emulator then use something like fraps or camtasia to try and capture the video. Since it probably wouldnt be running at full speed, you might need to speed the clip up after you capture it.
DS Emulators that might be worth trying are No$GBA and DeSmuME.
