Heath Ledger is still as far as i know is pegged to be the next Joker though ...


I really don't know how that will turn out...still doesn't seem like the right choice to me.

Christopher Nolan picked Ledger himself. He said he was more concerned about the appearance of eyes than the face. Makeup will surely remedy the rest. Also, he'll appear in more humble attire, rather than the tailor-made purple suits that iconized Romero and Nicholson.

The direction I see this character heading in will be that of a tragic villain whose plight will make people understand his insanity a little better. I'm not really sure if I'll like it, but it will be more true to Alan Moore's defining works of The Joker, and give him a more sinister edge.
