First, try reading the guides. They are there for a reason contrary to popular belief.

reading the guides isn't going to help in this situation...

so far there is no way to do it... there is a tool for the japanese version tho. but you need the actual disk and not an ISO.

even if you could rip the fmv's from this game, it would hardly be enough to tell you all about the games story. You'd see an intro, some miscellaneous events in between, and then an ending which would more than likely mean little to nothing. Seriously. It seems like the purpose of many of the fmv's throughout that game is just to show off some of the pretty scenery of the various towns/cities explored.

You'd need to watch the cut scenes to really understand the story. And though the cut scenes could theorectically could be extracted, odds are, people with enough skill out there to pull off such a feat, would'nt waste their time.

In other words, your much better off just playing the game to learn about the story. Because at this point in time, it would be much faster then to figure out how to rip everything you'd need to simply view the story instead.

And if you really don't feel like playing the game and you want to know what the stories about, then I'm sure finding a plot summary online could'nt be THAT difficult.

Don't take this offensively, but BlaCk_PeArL_27, none of your suggestions are helping. There isn't a single program you or anyone can suggest which will do what he wants.

And besides, who cares if he doesn't want to play through the entire game? That's his business. It's a long game and to be honest, I'd understand how he feels considering how I wasn't all that impressed with ffxii's gameplay to begin with. But that's a different matter all together.

Anyways, I already answered the question. Whether it be fmv's or cut scenes, none of them can be extracted/ripped from the dvd. Not now at least. I suppose I could say that there is another method to getting the cut scenes, but then you would'nt exactly be extracting them; You'd be recording them. And to record them, you'd have to play through the game, which apparently would ruin the entire point of the resons behind the initial request.
