Premeire lost or rather can't see the files!!!!

Post by lister007 » Wed Feb 07, 2007 6:33 pm

Premiere has lost or rather it can't see all my project files. There still in all the same folders in all the same places but when I open the project it asks me where they are!!!
I did recently unplug the external HDD but I've done that before and this has never happened. Can anyone help?

Also if the answer is no, how does premiere store the file directories so it knows where they are on start up? What I mean is;

Can I find out where premiere is looking so I can correct it....for example if it is the case the hard drive was origianlly labled F: drive and now it is G: or something so I don't have to change anything reallly

or

I can find out so I don't delete its "tree" information again?

Either that, or go into your Preferences and make sure your Scratch Disk pathnames point to the folders you want them to. :wink:

right click my computer and click "manage"

go to Disk Manager and right click the drive in question then select change drive letters and paths.

Gonna have to scroll through every letter and test it individually cos the scratch disk just reads from the current location (it didn't fin the project originally I opened from that location) basically premiere nowsa nothing!
