Um... Just a question

Postby Lahood » Mon Feb 05, 2007 5:47 pm

I've been wanting to make AMVs for awhile and I finally have the time to, Can anyone tell me the best software for ripping, producing, and converting. I've been looking through the forum but I can really seem to find what I want. And one more question when I tried awhile back I was worried about hurting the DVDs because they wouldn't let me take the video files. It won't hurt them right? I'd be overjoyed if I could get some help. I just don't understand it quite yet.
Thank you very much

unless something goes seriously wrong (catastrophic failiure of your dvd-drive that sends the lens upward into your dvd) it won't damage your dvds

Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides it is a very good guide, but can be a bit dense at times
so you may find it easier to go through this guide first

when you have some time, you should probably read through all of eadfag (or at least through all of the second guide) because there are a few steps in-between ripping a dvd and using the dvd footage in your editing program
