i'd read in the guide for capturing video game footage about how to rip video data straight off playstation discs - does anyone know if there's a comparable method for the wii? more specifically, for getting video footage from twilight princess? i would be overjoyed if there is  thank you so much to anyone who can help!

Recording High quality video footage with TV devices has always been successful. You might be able to find a guide to that on this website.

If you want to rip files form Wii discs, you might want to have a specific optical drive (i forgot about it :P, search the net or www.ps3news.com). Wii uses same old Gamecube file formats most of the time for media encoding, so you'll be in luck. Get some codecs or utilities for Gamecube media ripping and you'll do fine.
