What does your workstation look like?

Postby James Sharp » Sun Jan 21, 2007 11:57 pm

Sorry for all the posts i have been making recently.. but this is one question that has always bothered me ever since i first fired up adobe premiere pro 1.0

All the tuts that i have seen have examples of the person doing what they are doing.. and the workstation they are using looks super clean..

The project stuff is on the left and the monitor is on the right. and the timeline is below them both.. then when they wanna use effects... they just click a little tab and a nice window opens and closes at their leisure...

Well my workstation looks like crap.. i mean all my windows overlap each other.. and whatever im working on at the moment takes all my monitor room..

So my timeline is behind my monitor is behind my project window is behind my effects window is behind my effects controls window...

Does anyone know how i can make my stuff look all nice and neat..

Because dragging it around really dosent do anything.. is there like an option to make my stuff all tabbed or somthing?

sorry for the dumb question and i thank you for your time
Close calls are always the most exciting. Coming close is always the most dissapointing.

I welcome any and all advice on how i can improve

just set it up thw way you want then go Workspace > Save Workspace and save it with the name you want. Now if your windows get disorganized just open up your saved workspace

what is your moniters resolution - the higher/bigger the better - you get more space so no overlap.

you can also minimize the various windows - thats the same as tabs.
