hehe, of course we'll be playing some of his stuff... He actually came to our recent concert in December as well.. and we performed some of his FFXII work, which he arranged just for that concert.... as well as some others..

I just sent an email as well =) This sounds like a freakishly cool idea.

Edit: Mood sync...this makes making a video more of a challenge. I'm psyched.
But just for reference's sake, are there any well known mood sync AMVs out there that people may know of? Interested in watching a few just to see if I know what I'm doing.

I have to agree with "Dark Velocity EX" if there are any that you know please let me know. i would love to particapate but i'm pretty much a noob. so i won't be able to do anything that would be worthy and i don't have any REALLY good software that does anything amazing. (WMM is all i have) but i haven't be able to see and mood sync AMVs so this is going to be REALLY interesting. :D

This is the trailer for the 2006 ANiF. The Totoro segments were from the video Koopiskeva worked on, and those are a good example of mood sync, however the rest of the video itself were nevertheless suited for the mood of the music too for the most part. You'll notice quite a bit of syncing on this thing, but they're not tight dance like beat syncs nor much in terms of effects but they all suit the style. Effective use of long fades and plain cuts I think are a good method for this project.

And of course replace boochsack with the appropriate reference to reach the video

I would love to do SotC. I haven't made any videos in a while and I need to brush up on my skillz.

EDIT:
oh yeah, and I have all of the songs from SotC, but I will be more than happy to do the ones you selected (I'm guessing I know which you want anyway, the slow "I see Colossus" and the "victory, I'm on top of him" music)

I'll work with Zelda or Mario if no one wants to...This project sounds really cool.
