Yeah, i know that from personal experience. But come on, the Naruto fillers aren't the real deal. I didn't even know that the fillers had started and i was like, "This sucks, what the hell is going on?" They are semi enoyable, compared to even the worst non-filler episode.

Mmm...I can't speak for everyone so I really can't be sure about the "Filler = Not the Real Deal, therefore, Not enjoyable" mentality. Personally, I have no problem with fillers...apparently School Rumble the second term had a lot of filler and I just didn't notice.

Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid had a few filler episodes of a battle in the tunnels which I thought were awesome though technically fillers.

Nothing against fillers...I just don't like halfassing episodes that are for the most part lame and boring.

I would have nothing against the Naruto fillers if they DIDN'T SUCK. And those who have seen them have to agree, they suck. I know little about fillers in other shows since i don't many other anime. I will when i stop being apathetic.

Don't want to read the thread cause of spoilers, but you guys do know the fillers end on February 15th, right? Some of you seem pretty tormented, anyway.

Naturally, if the episodes were good, we wouldn't be complaining, but one aspect of "good" is the creativity and excellence behind the story. The Filler writers just don't have the degree of sophistication or insight that Kishimoto puts towards his manga.

There were a few times in the Naruto fillers where the writers had the right concept, but failed to bring the concept to a natural and believable end. For example, the Courier Ninja. Even in Narutoverse, information between cities and peoples must travel through a convenient and economical method.

At one point, they said it would end on New Years (though I suppose that could have been an unfound rumor). When it ends isn't the problem, the problem is Naruto fillers are really crappy. And so numerous...they had enough fillers episode for over a season didn't they? like 80 episodes or something?

That's not REALLY filler, rather it's filling IN a hole that would have existed in the plot without it. In the novels, the traitor Bluno was the one who arranged for the traitorous soldiers to be on the DeDannan (which was at the end of the first series). Since it wouldn't be practical to have Mithril after him from something that happened two whole series ago (and made by Gonzo, rather than KyoAni) they worked in a new arc which gave him ANOTHER chance to betray Mithril, as well as build up some characters who were practically nonentities in the book (the twins and that psycho Amalgam commander). Other changes in TSR were more padding or fleshing out a story that would otherwise have been rather sparse and making it much more satisfying (even with the padding, the series was still only 13 episodes).

On the other hand, the Naruto filler is mostly just pure crap, totally new stories invented out of nothing and carried off without a trace of the series' true style. Some of the stories COULD have been good if they weren't so badly executed (don't talk to me about curry!) I'll be ecstatic when they're over, but I heard it was some time in March, not February. Oh well, the sooner the better.

Yeah just don't get your hopes up. I heard the fillers would end many times before this one and they kept going, but the current one with Gaara is looking pretty good.

There are trailers airing on japanese television right now. There is a game with the next-gen characters coming out the same week. It's on the cover of Jump. It's for real.
