jaged edges with motion - premiere 6.5

Postby Minion » Thu Jan 11, 2007 8:22 pm

i have a scene that slowly spins while zooming in.
the left and right sides look fine, but the top and bottom are hella jaggy.
any filters or settings to take care of this?

Is that how it looks within the software, or on export? Rendering may make a difference. Otherwise... try feathering the edges a bit?

its after render and in the program. i was thinking of trying a feather or blur, but i'd like to keep it solid looking

i should explain before that sounds stupid. i need it to look solid because thats supposed to be a photograph.
i'll give blur a shot. i'd like to stay away from feathering

no luck with the blur. i'd have to keyframe it so early, people would completely miss the text

how about trimming it? does that help at all? I had a similar segment in my last vid, but that was all done in AE. On export it looked fine so i really don't know what to say. :(

it turned into a photograph from the previous scene. a sudden change would be noticeable

hmm you could try adding a white border around like most snapshots ive seen.

also was the original video like that? or did you animate the motion yourself

i'm animating the motion myself. and i can't do a white boarder, cause it would be too sudden of a change.
the frame turns into a photograph

Um... is the high-quality switch for the layer turned on? That would have been my first guess...
