Krisqo wrote:Can you open VDubMod? If so... that's a good thing. The best help for right now Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides. It should explain everything. Then if you have a specific question, post it on the forums.

Krisqo wrote:The first problem is because you don't have XVid installed on your computer. It comes down with the AMV app so by uninstalling that, you might have taken out XVid... double check to see if it is on your computer.
Krisqo wrote:The second is a thing with Windows. Some programs won't import WMV videos. I don't know the exact reasons, though. You'll need a more knowledgeable member to help you with that. But I don't see what Uninstalling the AMV App would solve.

Once that's done, both VDub and VDubMod should have no problems opening XviD-encoded AVIs.
I didn't see any second problem that Krisgo mentioned, though.

so it's means I can install again the AMVapp nor not? but my wmm and my wma 10 is not working?

Additionally, chealsealina, you can not open WMV in VirtualDub because it is Microsoft's secure video container. It's not allowed by law to edit the WMVs. I do believe there are ways to get your WMV clips working by using AviSynth and the DirectShowSource filter, along with AssumeFPS... at least that's how I would do it.
However, this is not a simple thing.
Lastly, if it's truly XviD or DivX, as long as you have XviD installed, you should be just fine.
