What did you get for Christmas?

I kind of out-grown the "consumerism mentality" thing about Christmas - it's all about family and friends these days. But not to be a complete Anti-Capitalist, I did get a few material possessions:
KAMELOT - One Cold Winter's Night DVD
Saber Marionette J / J Again / J to X DVD collections
Schwinn Recumbant Exercise Bike (for my Dad)

ff12, a new dvd rack since i outgrew the old one months ago and have a small pile of box sets sitting on the floor (or, did), a case of bawls and orange cream soda, and some cash and best buy certificates
KioAtWork: I'm so bored. I don't have class again for another half hour.

[Sakaki story] A kitten. I generally don't believe in giving pets as gifts, but I have wanted a pet since I got my own place three years ago. So my mom arranged to adopt the stripey, hell-raising offspring of a relative's cat and squared it with my landlord. Now he is attacking my monitor because OMG MOVING LITTLE THINGS WHAT'S THAT. [/Sakaki story]
So kitten supplies, some books, the ROD the TV box set (we live on Amazon wish lists) and the sadly upstaged but very awesome gift from my dad of an iPod nano. O_o
More than that, I got to see eighty billion people over four days and have a good time and share some good food. Christmas Eve was the first time my SO met my extended family, and he says they made him feel very welcome. And his family made me feel welcome when I went to visit them. So it's all good.

OT forum. I also bought myself a collection of older Total War games which I rather enjoy.
Otherwise, since it's well known I'm Russian... I'll just say New Years is where it's at for the Motherlanders - that's when we get stuff

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I got gifts from five people:
From my chosen parents:
A shirt
Two winter hats
Internet paid for two months
From my chosen sister:
A bath set
socks
candles
From my mother:
Jeans that are too small
A sweater that's too big
earrings that I'm allergic to
From my older brother:
A bath set
From my little sister:
A bath set
Now, the thing is...I don't have a bathtub. I just have one of those single showers. I had an alright holiday, though my chosen parents will always be better than my biological ones. I spent the 23rd at my chosen parent's house, with lots of drinks (I had too many) and poker and good times. I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my mother's house, where we had the traditional frozen pizza next to pieces of an artificial tree that never got put together.
