007 Vegita Tribute, officially open for entries!!!

Postby mistic_vegeta » Mon Dec 04, 2006 4:36 pm

Okay people, special edition MEP over here.

This is no ordinary one,i'll explain the story first behind the idea.

As probably many of you might know by now,our fellow AMV creator 007 Vegita has decided to quit making AMV's and move on with his personal life.
I wish him the best of luck, but something inside me bothered me.
He was a master to me,and if i'm not mistaken,a master to many others.

For there this MEP,I want this MEP to be honored to 007 Vegita and all of his inspiration he gave us.

The songs in this MEP will be special.
I didn't want to pick the first songs I saw in my files, but i've been thinking about this for quite a while.
I came to the conclusion that the songs in this MEP will be the songs 007 Vegita himself used over the years when he was creating AMV's.
I will post them later.

If you are interested, please join this.
Many people I think would be very much into this idea,of tributing him with his own songs.

Songs: *when bold the song has been chosen already*

DBZ Trilogy section:
Megumi Hayashibara-Reflection
T.M Revolutions-Invoke
Hans Zimmer-Rock Jail House

Music Video Archive:
Harry Gregson Williams-Metal Gear Solid 3 theme
Klaus Baldelt & Hans Zimmer-Barbosa is Hungry
Linkin Park-Numb
Harry Gregson Williams-Metal Gear Solid 2 Theme
Ayumi Hamasaki-And Then
Two-Mix-Truth English Version
Bomfunk MC-Freestylers
Megumi Hayashibara-Exit Running
Megumi Hayashibara-Give a Reason giga remix
Megumi Hayashibara-Give a Reason remix
E.S. Posthumus-Pompeii

These are the creators that are in this MEP:

Mistic Vegeta
Turankusu
Moonie211
uP|iN|fLaM3z
Narutoball (Back-Up)

The length of each song you submit has to be around 1:00.
Please submit your segment in HuffYuv or Lagarith.
640 x 480 will be allright I think and 29,7 fps.

I wish every creator who wants to be in the best of luck with this, and to unite to make this thing something 007 can be proud of ^^

Beta Deadline is the 31st of January!!

Hm well this definetly sounds like an interesting enough project here, those who definetly knows of 007 Vegita, respects him and his work should most definetly join this. But in my opinion, to respect all he's done and given to AMV creators everywhere inluding myself, this should be done very professionally. So the chice of editors to be in this sort of project should be rather strict. I know if it wasn't for his videos and work I wouldn't be making videos even now.

I have a question though, should it be all DBZ or any anime? It's a hard decision on what song choice I want actually, they all sound great to me and difficult to figure out how to do them without exactly copying 007 Vegita's work. Eh, I'll see if I can get back to you once I strike an idea or something, or if I can even fit this in my agenda with all the other MEP's I'm in and AMV's. Good luck with this though.

I agree with you, this is something I want to do this with extreme strictness and utmost care.
This thing has to be like..**perfect** and isn't to be seen as a regular MEP.
I hope you can find a free spot to work with us on this one,I could really need your help.
Of course using different Anime's would be okay, but I want to add this ''007 style'' with DBZ and stuff.
Still, this could come to an agreement with all participating creators in the end. ^^

if you want to make a tribute to him id suggest finding out his fav band and doing it on them as by using all the songs he has used id say it wouldnt seem like much just a copy of his work. but thats my thoughts.

Syaoran :I wasn't planning on using wmm editors here.
Vegas 5.0 would be the minimum use I think.

Narutoball :Sure thing man,see you on MSN tonight then
