*PIP not working!

Have just uploaded all of the custom effects.
converted all txt to xml where applicable and the stupid F@cking program still hates me!!!
the new effects are not showing up.
Have tried open and close and restart but no cigar.... anyone have any ideas? :twisted:

Where'd ya get the PIP effects at? I got my PIP fx here. Don't hafta convert anything, just run the extractor and it'll do the rest. Should probably credit the sources and such, I did anyways.

Same spot, I think I gots it from someone else's trouble post. I have taken them out, placed them in shared/somethingarather folder and nuttin'.... so yeah.... do you know what I might have forgotten? It seemed pretty easy to me, dare I now say 'too easy' as it hasn't done anything :(

Hmm. That's strange. Did ya extract it to C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX. Shoulda worked if ya did.

I did indeed... maybe I'm looking for it in the wrong place...
when in WMM where do find the new effects,
I've been looking in the normal effects window and nothing new shows up

It should be under video transitions. If ya scroll down you shouldn't be able to miss em since they appear different.

sigh... not there.
it's where I was looking before but I thought they might be somewhere else. hiding in plain sight.
will go back to the site and ask for help there, thanks anyway!!

forgive me if sound like a tard, but i had the same problem with not being able to use the effects package i downloaded, so as a last resort i changed the folder name to be exactly AddOnTFX. before i did this i didn't use capital letters, don't know why it didn't work, but after i changed it, it works just fine.

funny, that actually fixed it... sort of maybe...
some are there others are still not showing.
oh well win some, lose some, hope never to have to use this program again!!
