Does anyone know of a way to get past the copyright protection on the Howl's Moving Castle DVD? I mean is there a simple way past it like holding the shift button as with the Velvet Revolver CD?

DVDFabDecryptor works for Windows, but I'm using a Mac, and that software isn't compatible. Are their other options?

I don't use a mac...but if you haven't already, you may want to google "mac the ripper"

I've heard that program's name be thrown around in a few threads...but once again, I don't use a mac...so I don't know what it can/cannot do

You can get it off using MacTheRipper, but you'll need to use Title Only extraction and select the MF section in the pulldown menu. This particular DVD uses "bad sectors" as a form of protection.
