Yeah, thats why its a good thing we are looking for a song that is 10 minutes. I am well aware of the issue of songs which are 10 mintue. Gotta stay away from those~

Glad to see the interest is still here though. We'll keep the info coming as we get it.

On the topic of audio, were there any song ideas from Doomrider 1 which might still be considered usable here? For example, did anything come in a close second to Sandstorm?

Disclaimer:
Considering the post below, I would like to reiterate that I in no way assume membership in this project. Good day... Good evening... Rock, rock on... You get the idea.

Hi, everyone:

In case you can't tell, I don't post here very often. However, let me say that it's really great to see such a high level of interest for the next project; it's certainly a motivating factor! I wanted to pop in and get a few things out in the open. First off, like I mentioned, we're super-stoked to see people chiming in with their excitement about another project. The first "Doomrider" DBZ AMV Project has played at several conventions, panels, and various showings across the world. It's certainly been a success.

We would like people to keep in mind that like the first project, the next project will continue to be invite-only. At this point in time, no tracks are spoken for. We are in pre-production and are gaguing interest among editors from the previous project and making our audio selection. There will, of course, be "new blood" on the upcoming project, but let me reiterate that it will continue to be invite-only and that no tracks are spoken for or otherwise assigned.

If you are an editor that was not involved with the last project and are interested in being considered for the next project, here's a couple things to keep in mind:

  • Editors will be given footage from the 2006 "Dragon Box: The Movies" release in Japan.
  • Editors need to understand how to edit VOB files with AVS scripting. Editors will be expected to do color-correction and other basic filtering. Furthermore, editors must understand how to edit with progressive and anamorphic footage.
  • Please watch the first project for an idea at the quality level we're shooting to exceed with the next project. If you are unable to edit at a level similar to the tracks presented in the last one, perhaps this project isn't for you.
  • Editors with notable DBZ experience are given higher priority over similarly-qualified peers.

If you're interested in being considered and understand the above, all you need to to is just say that you're interested. As mentioned several times, this is an invite-only project. You will be contacted when the time comes; let me assure you that we do our research. To put it in slightly legal-ese, your simply posting an interest is *not* equivalent to us extending an offer or contract for "employment" in the next project.

Anyway, let me just once again say how exciting it is to see such a high level of interest in another project. It's definitely got the potential to blow away the first one, if that's even possible! :D

wow... um... yeah, good luck finding people who fit all those qualifications... depending on how much avs scripting is required depends on if i can be counted as qualified... but i use avs scripts in my amvs all the time... been editing since 2000, *and yes, my first video was dbz.. and about 20 or 30 other amvs of mine were dbz.. although i havent touched the series in years for simple lack of footage...* but yeah... im still interested in this... so vote yes for amv4000 on doomrider 2?

Im still interested...i know people who can help me with scripting, and i baisicallly do nothin but dbz videos, and i pretty much know everything about the series....

My level of editing is definitally up to those of the people in doomrider 1. However, i'd rather you not judge by my work on the org, and contact me for a preview of what im able to do now.

Thanks.

Yeah I'm still interested guys, I'll give my best shot in this project. Of course though if there isn't enough room when this gets started it's understandable, just hope I'm recommendable.

Well, I'm still interested. I just watched the project again, too.

Doubt I'm "qualified", but I can still hope for the best.

Sorry for the weird "Mike was banned" thing, too. I'm unsure where this came from? I wouldn't make up something like that, because your one of my favorite editors. I must've mis-interpreted something. I apologize again.

alright the rules are some kinda hard but suitable for a project which is this big and which has got such a huge potential.Even though you guys have to follow a big reputation of the first DBZ Doomrider so I understand that you wanna have no noobs in your team.
Well I would really like to join since i've always been doin DBZ vids.
