Excluding RavenSohma (who was at the con), everyone's trophies (including the Best In Show "pimp cup" trophy, which weighs enough to be used as a bludgeoning weapon) and prizes (provided graciously by Bandai and ADV) will be mailed out in the next week or two.
Now for some AMV-related numbers from the weekend: I estimate the contest got about 200 people watching it between both screenings (as of tonight, we had 500 attendees, plus staff and volunteers). About 20-30 people braved Friday night to watch AMV Hell 3. This morning's Random AMV screening (and panel) got something like 50-60 unique visitors. A packed Main Events hall (~500) gave JCD's Haruhi vid and my Fullmetal Hell high marks. 300+ people saw the winning videos, and AMV Hell 0 had a packed video room of about 30 people tonight, and I'm pretty sure one person actually threw up in his mouth a little and had to leave to find the facilities.
Thanks to all who submitted to the contest! Either I or BasharOfTheAges will be in charge next year, expect a first announcement sometime in the Spring about the AAC 2007 AMV Contest.
