Premier Help! Export stuff...

Post by Cyco_Beaver » Thu Oct 05, 2006 10:40 pm

Hey, i know I sound like an idiot, by I need some help with premeir. I have made a nice long AMV, the file can do MPEG2 and AVI and stuff, but I can't make them small enough because my WMV thingy crapped out. Is there a simple way though Premier to make a file smaller then 500 MBs? Can I use the DIVX file format? Help me...please? (don't kill me)

you can export in whatever format you want.
i personally export in lagarith, then put it in virtualdub and compress to xvid, compress audio with lame, and mask crappy frames

Yeah, Divx and xvid are some of the common codecs used around here

Do this:

Export your video in a lossless form, such as lagarith, or Huffyuv. It will probably be something like 4 gig. Use Virtualdub to filter and compress your video till you're happy with the way it looks vs file size.

Read this guide: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech/
Specifically the parts about how to compress.
