Guys, also keep coming up with new ideas as well as the song of the week, come con time it's best if the same couple sources aren't repeating themselves with no other weird ideas.

Basically, do ideas that aren;t ties into doing the same song every week. It will be much more interesting to have original ideas as well as the themes in there.

I don't see a problem with it. If you want to do a quick dub parody then it's fine. Basically right now it's a couple min of material total submitted and with a few being of the same songs its not going to make for an interesting showing.

As I've said many times before, don't feel like you have to restrict yourself to the current theme. If you can do a decent overdub (well-scripted, clever, etc), then let's see what you can do. Otherwise, if you have ideas that you wanna use and don't wanna wait for you to "win the round," just do it.

And just to be clear, the absolute cutoff date for this project is March 15, 2007. We still have over six months to gather clips for this thing, but don't take that for granted. ;)

One week until the next theme, by the way...still trying to name the next entrant for the comp. :(

To dokidoki: you are going to "judge" for the "Anime Phenomenon" theme since I seem to be having no end of difficulty getting these videos to you. My gmail is being a snot. :?

Okay, I'm going to declare the "winners" for "round 5."

...Maru sha
Honorable mention: jayn_newell

Maru-sha, you know the drill. Send me a sound source or something for "round 7" which you will be "judging."

Congrats...and one more week for the current theme.

Hey guy's!
I haven't got enough time to read those 12 pages, and I don’t really know what’s going on, but I read the rules, and I would like to show one of my newest creations. The question is, is there any place left for me in the contest?
Anyway, the vid is a parody, it's on FMA, but it's a beta and I haven't uploaded it to the org yet. So I wonder if you could take a look at it, and tell me what you think. It's 8.30mb and 31 seconds long (I can make it 30 seconds, if you want) :P . Now, I don't want to upload the bad version to the org, because I hate uploading things twice and making problems in my profile. Furthermore, the masking is not completely finished, and some of the scenes and effects could use more work.
I will really appreciate if you will watch the video, and tell me if it's ok to use it in the contest or upload it to the org. I will upload the video to megaupload and send the link to you in PM.

Thank you for your time

It is not a contest, only a showing of short vids and there is space> IN fact more entries are sorely needed. So by all means submit.

Thank you ^_^
I already send the link for my beta to deuceloosely, and waiting for a reply.
I hope that you agree to watch betas first, and not the real thing. And I'm not really gonna change it too much. Just a few fixes in the masking, if needed.

We are always accepting submissions, even if they don't follow the current theme. However, if you decide to enter a clip for the current sound source and are chosen, it will be added to the compilation which will be premiered at TekkoshoCon 5. There's a good chance that whatever you send us, as long as it's entertaining, would be added.

Is it likely you'll go to Tekko in April (15-17)? Just curious. I'd just like to have at least some of our collaborators present for the grand unveiling. ;)

Send what you have so far...

By saying "go" you mean go there for real, or participate in it?
I don't know how far this contest will be, but I bet it will be a long way for me going there from Russia :D Ops, I gave myself in. Oh well, I bet it's obvious because of my spelling :P

From the PM:
mind if I use that as either your production tag or the PTtrailer for the opening credits?

Sure thing. The only question is, what's a PTtrailer? :?
And btw. Can you explain me what else I should have? (like my logo or something like that), if needed of course, because I didn't really understood that from the rules, and I would like a better explanation.
And if you want, I can make some more scientific facts about Ed, I have lot's of ideas, so the scientific facts can be spread in the AMV, like 3 or 4 - one in the start, one in the middle, and one in the end or something like that, just like it was in AMV hell 3 with that girl from Azumanga, when she appears from time to time and says "And that was like PI PI PI" :D
Anyway, I'm just trying to give some ideas. If you do like this one, I will make it a better quality and upload it to the org, and then you can download it, and use it as you please.
Well, I'm off to eat my blinches :P

PT trailer = Production Tag trailer:
The production tag is that thing at the beginning of your video which tells the viewer the name of the producer or "studio." You know, like before any movie begins you see the MGM lion or the Universal globe, etc..?

The trailer is just a clip which you feel best represents your sense of humor or quality of work or whatever. It should be no longer than 20 seconds and it will appear in the opening credits right after yur production tag.

I could actually use the entire thing as a two-in-one thing so you won't have to do any extra work. I think it represents you quite favorably. ;) And I know my FMA-fangirl fiancee would love to see more of your "scientific facts."

Just so you know, the preferred formats for the videos are AVI or MPEG1 or MPEG2. Send more stuff... ;)
