I have a file that I need to import into Premiere, but it's an AVI. I have no way to convert it and was told that there was a plug-in I might be able to use to get the file into Premiere. Can anyone help?

Premiere can import AVI's. The problem is, AVI is only a container and can envelope many different video and audio codecs. You don't need a plugin, you need the proper codecs installed. Get GSpot (google for it) and find out what for codecs the AVI uses.
