BLAH... I can't stand it... I'm switching animes to Vandread, I figured it's for the best anyways since rahxephon was used in the first MEP and it was used well (and you hate it?) lol. No point in using it again. Besides I got ideas for vandread to, it was my other choice all along. Better to change now instead of later on anyways.

All right, I got a few tech questions. First, since I use Windows Movie Maker, I can ONLY export at 29.97 fps. Is that all right?

Also and this probably goes for some of the other peeps. My source is anamorphic widescreen. You want us to letterbox it?

I'm going to lay low now until december. If you get your track done during these next 3 months all the better. I advice not to leave stuff hanging too close to the deadline ;)

So... is there any way I can contact you via AIM, MSN, Yahoo, IRC, etc. since we're neighboring tracks?

Also, is there anything I need to worry about for the transition into the credits? Or will it just be ending at the end of my song segment and then the credits begin after?

I suppose you could open it up in VirtualDubMod and change the FPS with Avisynth, though I've never tried doing that after completing a project with transitions, effects, and all included.

angel234: I can give out my track, but Elfen Lied is already picked with track 15 so I'd prefer you use different anime. OR work very closely with Chrono so you won't end up using same scenes for example.

angelx03/Stolen Soul: that 23.976/24fps was just first suggestion. If people want to use 29.97fps it's also fine. I can also just convert the fps to fit the rest if needed. 29.97 should convert quite nicely to 23.976.

With widescreen sources just leave black bars. If that's called "letterboxing" then yes ^^''

ChronoWraith: Silly me. Here I go asking for contact info and didn't give out mine :D I try read private messages as often as I can. Email that I read daily is (foxjones ät kahvipannu dot com). I also try to hang out in org's irc-channel.. #amv at ZiRCnet.
No need to worry about credits transition. With the song ending like that just a simple quick fade out should work best. After that the credits will start with slow fade in.

Just something id like to mention, 29.97 will not convert nicely to 23.976 after something has already been edited, it only works before editing. it removes frames and so the editing will be affected, especially if there is a lot of timing. Thats why its best if everyone stays in the same framerate, and it all comes out in the same framerate.

Yea.. I think that would be the best option then.

Now that we start using 29.97 what if I need to convert 23.976/24 to 29.97?

angel234 wrote:ok then ill use FFAC if thats ok?

Absolutely completely not ok.. jesus. For one I count that as video game stuff.. second, if I have to watch another video made with FFAC I'm going to scream.

Try to refrain from using animes from "most used anime list".. be creative.

angel234 wrote:ok then ill use FFAC if thats ok?

Most Used Anime List wrote:10322 - Naruto - 8.07%
9610 - DragonBall Z - 7.51%
7378 - Inu Yasha (TV) - 5.77%
3609 - Final Fantasy 8 (VIII) - 2.82%
3379 - Final Fantasy 10 (X) - 2.64%
3290 - Rurouni Kenshin (TV) - 2.57%
3281 - Final Fantasy 7 (VII): Advent Children (OVA) - 2.56%

I know the final say isn't mine but I'm not sure FF:AC is the best choice since FJ was trying to do this project without using any of the most used anime an FF:AC is # 7 as of right now. I'm actualy surprised Elfen Lied was accepted since I seem to see it pop up everywhere. I suggest finding a backup series (which still fits) and that isn't already being used and which isn't on the most used list (the list is on the right side of the members main page if you are unsure of where to check for it).

FJ: What is the final decision on the framerate/video size/compression/etc. all the technical stuff? I plan to begin working at some point this coming week, but I can't start working untill I know this. Thanks.

[Edit: Looks like FJ and Co. managed to post while typing mine lol :P]
