Another After Effects thread

Postby Kariudo » Sun Aug 27, 2006 10:43 pm

I read the guide, and the help files, looked for threads back til Dec 05...but nothing seems to help.

I'm using AE 6.5 pro, and now that I'm [nearly] done with my amv in premiere pro 1.5 I'd like to add some effects.

The problem: After effects is giving me an error when I import the premiere project file.
After Effects: AEGP Plugin Premiere Pro Import: Error reading effect info. Some effects will be skipped. (5027 :: 12)
not only is it skipping some effects, it is also not including whole clips in the composition (although they are loaded into the folder).
the composition is supposed to represent the entire sequence in premiere

at this point I read through the help files and then disabled all motion/opactiy effects in my project, still no dice.
when I trimmed the sequence down to 10 seconds (the first missing part is the first 10 seconds) it showed up...no error

same thing is happening on both my laptop and desktop
laptop:
Athlon 64 3200+
1GB pc2700
ati radeon xpress200M (128MB dedicated)
80GB HD

Deskptop:
Athlon 64 X2 3800
1GB pc3200
2x 36GB raptors in raid0 and a generic 250GB SATA
EVGA GeForce 6600 (256MB, pci-e)

any suggestions?

Has your project ever contained DVD markers or menu?

no, although I have used blank sequence markers from time to time.
I'll try removing those and post with results
