i am trying to cut the dvd clips....or whatever so they are the right size for the video. u know how you take the vob files or w/e and you slice them to the so they are smaller. and you get our footage that way for the video, then you can put them in your video being the right size. but my splitter wont slice the decryper files. do you have to do somthing to the VOB files before you can slice them?

i run the vob files through Virtualdub Mod, you can convert them to AVI that way...

i use Lagarith codec but it makes pretty large (filesize) files... O.o if you want use something else....

I think I get you. I don't know of a program that works like that. Sounds like you want to take a piece of a VOB without having to rip it to your computer first. If I knew of a program I would definitely use it. For now if I want to edit only certain parts of a vob.. I have to rip it to my computer with DVD decrypter.. and then split the vobs with vobSplitter or Chopper XP. I want to be able to put a dvd into the drive, find the scene I want then have the vob decrypted so I could copy a section of the VOB without having to put the vob on my computer first. OK, hope I've been somewhat of help. Maybe someone could help me out with what I'm trying to work out. NEway take care!

You could use DVD Shrink to do that. Load your DVD into your drive and open it with DVD Shrink directly. As long as the DVD doesn't have a newer type of structure copy protection (ARcoSS, etc), DVD Shrink can decrypt it without the need for DVD Decrypter. Click on Re-author mode and drag the movie or episode into a new DVD Compilation. Then click on the Set Start/End Frames button. Adjust the sliders for the start and end points, click OK, then Backup! to a folder on your hard drive.
