Best con to go to outside the US....

Postby genestarwind21122 » Tue Aug 15, 2006 7:07 am

I'm thinking about doing a convention outside the US next year as I want to travel a little more. I was thinking about Connichi Con in German. One already know German and two I've heard they have a great amv contest.

Which conventions do you guys recommend outside the US?

I recommend Animecon IV. Pack your bags, it starts tomorrow! :P

Seriously speaking, Connichi was very good AMV-wise last year. I suppose there are some good cons in France and the UK as well.

But if you go to a non-english speaking anime con, how the hell will you understand anything unless you're gifted with the language of that country?

I'm stuck with Canada, but I kind of want to go to an Alaskan con just because a friend of mine that used to live near DannyWilson said the people in those anime cons are nuts. XD

It's about celebrating differences and meeting cool people :D I imagine the foreign catgirls would fall instantly for an American otaku

Plus how else are you gonna meet all of the kickass European editors... at least, the ones who can't afford to fly to AWA?
