Otakon Creator Lunch ?

Postby genestarwind21122 » Wed Aug 02, 2006 11:55 am

Is the lunch for the amv creators going to be after the AMV Panel (10:00-12:00) @ 12:00 pm or after the AMV Contest (12:30-3:30) around 3:30pm on Saturday?

We don't usually "plan" meals during the con, we usually just go eat in groups when we get hungry.

So... hang around with people with whom you want to eat.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

Hah! Speak for yourself. Getting meals in during convention hours turns into a well planned excursion. First we get into a line. Then, we secure that the people on all sides of us are hungry and want food. This is vital. We send our fastest person to bring back food. We use cell phone communication to relay when the Otakon Staff isn't looking (and they say that video games teach you nothing! HAH!). Since we are feeding everyone else in the immediate line, no one complains about line cutting, even though it's not really line cutting, it's leaving the line and coming back.

Sure, the people 6 or 7 places back complain... but when 4 or 5 other people can vouch for the fact that everyone's always been in line, it's never a problem. Let me tell you how nice it was to keep our place in the front 10 middle bottom row of the Larc en' Ciel concert.

I'm just kidding. I don't really do that. Otakon security and staff are rigid, dedicated workers. And they don't accept Taco Bell as a bribe. Or money.
