Mpegs die in Media Player

Postby madboyv1 » Mon Jul 31, 2006 6:23 pm

so after installing amvapp and updating VDubMod, I find that I can no longer play the video in MPEGS (*.mpg, *.mpeg, and the such) in Windows Media Player. More than likely its a codec I've installed recently. Any ideas what to do to fix this?

oh, and ffdShow doesn't like Media player anymore, as it kills media player when I try to seek through a movie while paused.

Just uninstall FFDShow. You don't really need it. Or use Zoom Player or Media Player Classic or something.

All you need to do is change the decoding options on FFDshow so it doesn't do the work your other codecs are trying to do. That conflict is causing your problems. :?
