River Video Cleaner converts too big

Postby VentusExcito » Sun Jul 30, 2006 2:41 am

Alright, I have some anime in OGM format, and nothing I use will recognize it, I've tried a couple of programs. So, I tried convertng to AVI with River Video Cleaner, but two minutes into the conversion, the file is already 1.5 GB on my hardrive...is this supposed to happen? I don't have the space on my harddrive for the 3 epsiodes I need, so what do you suggest [if nothing is wrong]?

Thanks

passing over the fact that you really shouldn't use downloaded footage, I'd say don't re-encode the entire episode, and just convert the clips that you want.

for converting ogm or mkv files its best to use virtualdub mod.
With that you can extract just the parts you want without having to re-encode the whole video.
