Please help me!!!!! [WMM problem]

Postby Cagari » Thu Jul 27, 2006 5:11 am

I just recently made a video on WMM. It has been a dream of mine to make this video, but I can't save it!!! Whenever I tried saving it to a folder, it keeps on saying that "Windows could not save this file to the specified place" or something like that, and the file is there, and it's empty!!! I don't understand...

Another time I tried saving it, it started saving, but it would stop at 2%, and then after stopping at 2%, the minutes would go UP instead of down!!!!

The files I used were AVI files...does that have anything to do with the trouble??

Please help me!!! I really want to watch my creation...

Much appreciated if you help!! Thank you!

Need more info is the files you are using from a dvd, game or the web, when you go to save it do you chose save as movie, and if and when you do what format do you choose to save it in, I use to get that error when using avi's from the sims and then I put a different movie in there and it started working again, the program is buggy, so try using a different video and see if it will save, and avi or wmv are about the only file types it will work with just depends on the avi, if it is divx you made need the codec, it is really hard to say without knowing more

I click on "Save as Movie File", save it to My Computer, and then I try to save it to a brand new folder. I then go to the Video for Broadband(512 Kbps) setting...
And then it says: Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in you movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space avialable, and then try again.

I have all of the required!!! And the video is only 13.91 MG, and I have gigs of memory...I think...

That is a typical error for wmm that was the same one I use to get, get another video any avi clip or wmv and make a new movie with it, does not matter what because its a test, see if it will save, if it does then the other may work, that is what I did, don't know why it does it, as I said the editor is buggy

No I am saying if you have another movie or if not get one put it in the wmm maker place it on the time line and see if it will save, for some reason sometimes that triggers it to work, and I know because I have done it.
