Maybe Cheza was only blind in the manga. She could pass as blind in some parts of the books...

Two Things - (Dunno if this is spoiler, I dunno how to do the thing) - According to Chezza - "The world will not end, but begin again..." Like the flowers that return after the frost. When the world ends, Paradise will appear somewhere on earth, trouble is, only wolves will know how to find it. I think you guys are looking at this journey to Paradise as a little bit too literal. They found Paradise, whether they kept it or lost it is up to your own interpretation. They also said Chezza was the beacon that would lead them to Paradise. There was one scene where all the wolves were asleep in Chezza's lap, all of them dreaming sweet peaceful dreams of where they'd rather be - Kiba's dream was being right where he was.

I think what they're trying to get at is: What is Paradise? How would you know it if you found it? Paradise means something different to everyone, so Life is the journey to find Paradise. For these characters, they found Paradise in the journey, in the togetherness with each other. Their loves, their friendship... And that humans had forgotten how to look for that in this world. If you wanna know who got to Paradise, take a look at those who *didn't* make it... People who'd forgotten how to live, how to forgive, how to see the truth, how to see themselves, how to be happy.

Also, it's not mentioned so much directly in the anime... I remember one scene where they're walking near a cliff, Chezza appears to almost lean to the side nearly falling off, Hige and Toboe look nervous just as she happily turns around and continues walking. They ponder how she is able to sense the world around her. Hige suggests she has "antennae or something." Toboe asks where she keeps them. Hige just trusts she's got 'em hidden somewhere. ^_^ Chezza usually doesn't look directly at things.

I always find myself wondering how those wolves are supposed to have carried those boxes of groceries in the beginning of the show.

I disagree with your asessment. I think that, there literally IS a journey to a specific spot where Cheza Blooms and spurts her paradise spores over the earth. The after shots of everybody at the and was a cop out. It's like Evangelion: everybody except Shinji dies, and he resurects Asuka so he can spend eternity in misery. Not the deeply satisfying ending that you might have hoped for, but the journey itself was interesting enough to make up for it.

Well, everyone has their own interpretation. ^_^ I just see it as a circle of life kinda thing.

Thats the thing I like about this anime. Ending is whatever the viewer interprets it to be, literal or... how should I say it... different? :? Well you get my point.

I've wondered the same thing. Carrying Chezza, opening doors, etc.

There are many similarities. I think there's a different side type story in volume 1, but vol two goes in completely different direction, characters switch sides, very confusing.

The manga and the anime both start out exactly the same, but they both have their major differences. It just takes about the first chapter for the manga to really branch off of the same storyline as the anime.

Out of all aniems I seen, Wolf's Rain has the second worst ending ever next to Chrono Crusades wh ohasthe worst and saddest ending.

In Wolf's Rain everyone dies and they go to this diffrent universe and starts over

In Chrono Crusades the good guys die and the bad guy lives. So it is Good guys loses and bad guys win
