The way they were talking made it sound like they thought the anime adaptation was the one who did the edits. It was the dubbed version of the anime, but there is an anime version that is uncut.

Uh, not really...

I don't think you can butcher a series any worse than 4Kids did for One Piece. I mean, what other company changes rifles into Super Soakers?

but cigarettes to lollipops... alcohol to fruit drinks, blood to sweat. that's all really no big deal

I mean, you can be a little upset about it I guess.. but.. I wouldn't make such a big deal about it like that.

No kidding. I watched the DUB version after the Uncut/original version... that's mostly the reason why I'm so cut 4Kids have changed it so much. But, still, it really, really bugs me.

Has anyone seen the dub episode where Luffy and his gang stopped in a large town before heading off to the grand line? There is a character in there, a Marine who has the power to control smoke because he ate a gum gum fruit...well, the dub version has deleted his cigar (where the smoke is originally coming from) and now we only see his mouth open in a strange form or like he is constantly breathing out smoke. It's weird...

You mean Smoker (Chaser in the dub) from the Rogue Town arc? Yeah, that's one of the thousands of things 4Kids edited. It's like how they made Sanji smoke a lollipop.

I guess I can understand the edits, in a way. BUT THE VOICES SLAY ME. As does the rap intro thingy (I don't know if it's in the original, but I'm guessing not).
