Don't die yet, you still have to judge the next round!
Plus, you have to see the final product, after that, it's your choice, but I'm sure you'll find a way to keep going.
And I thought nobody read these.

Okay people, I need your attention.

Not that there's been a major infraction of the "PG-13" rule, but it needs to be stated. Since this compilation is going to be shown AT TekkoshoCon and a lot of the attendees are (as I've been told) around age 15 on average, try to keep things relatively clean. I don't mean "rated G Disney" clean, but try and keep the obscenities to a minimum. I'm kinda hearing it a little from the AMV head of Tekko, so you know how to be clever.

Maru-sha, your entry is okay. It's one word and it goes by really fast, so if the younger ones catch it, they've heard it before. If they don't, no harm done.

Now back to your regularly-scheduled whatever.

...oh yeah. Round 2 announced this Sunday!

Basically org rules then right? I thought that's what you said before.........unless you mean by implying stuff too. Hmmm......it was the Stephen Lynch clip that did it huh? There's no bad words, but it said enough anyway.

>>>STUPID<<<>>>STUPID<<<>>>STUPID<<<

Nah! Just messing with ya! :P

If you think that last sound bit I sent you was pushing it, let me know I have more, though it didn't have any bad words either.

Oh well, maybe it should just stick to the "If you can't do it on basic cable?" situation. You know, no premium channel stuff, just the expanded basic package.

I'm ranting...sorry.
Let's make this as enjoyable as possible without scaring future generations for life.

Am I right?

Well,...sort of. And no, you haven't sent me anything that can't be presented in front of a con crowd. Just saying that everyone should be careful. Like the winning entry for the Stephen Lynch pub song from CE...that wouldn't be quite suitable (too graphic and, well...just gross). Yanno?

Okay guys, in terms of content, yes it needs to be semi-clean. Good general basics is the audio should be something that you could hear on the radio and not have it bleeped every few seconds. No sexual nudity (or tentacles) and absolutely obscene amounts of gore.

And yes that is what i ask, considering I will get in trouble if this event angers people. I doubt there will be too many that push it but it only takes one to ruin it for everyone.

But no, by all means have fun with the videos. Be clever if you want to imply something. That is not going to be an issue. Just nothing that if rated my the MPAA would require ID.

Crap... I'm going to miss the second week too. Last week, Windows crapped out on me and I had to format. Next week, I'll be on vacation. Bah...

Illia Sadri...thanks again for the clarification and support. ;)

Takdude...the next round will likely run for two weeks as well, so you'll have time to put something together. Just check in to see what the theme will be and start thinking of ideas.

For clarification purposes regarding where I heard this phrase, refer to the following:

http://askaninja.com/news/2006/03/31/ask-a-ninja-question-17-ninja-omnibus-mp3

My favorite part:
Q. What is the circumference of a moose?
A. It's Michael Palin's face in a pi times Douglas Adams squared.

...yes, I'm a fan of the Ninja. :P

Thanks to both you and Illia Sadri for clearing that up. After beginning to watch AMV Hell CE, I was like, WTF? Then, it was obvious that CE was not just another AMV Hell 3, but was closer to AMV Hell 2 and O (both of which were graphic/risque). So, if we need to compare, it looks like we're shooting for AMV Hell 3 in terms of content.

Btw, some of us (Dezbo, for example) turned in more than one vid for the last round. Guess I kinda misunderstood Round 1, because the "AMV Buffet" entries will be following our production tags. It's OK that I just turned in one vid for that round, right? Again, I'm a newbie--sorry!

And "Ask a Ninja" is funny. Recently at AnimeNEXT, someone submitted an AMV parody with Naruto clips called "Ask a Sennin" . . . made from the one about teaching a dog ninja skills.

Hope it's cool that I answered this, If I'm wrong, let me know.

* 4. You can submit as many entries as you like, provided they are all different. Do not submit multiple entries that only have slight variations from each other.

It's cool, I know some people tend to scan over the rules, but if you read everything when it's presented to you, it helps out a lot, and sometimes you get more than one idea and it's really hard for you to pick the best one for yourself. Still, one video is cool, it's better to spend a lot of time on one quality video then to enter several pieces of steaming crap.

Knowledge is Power!

Also, can't wait for the next round! I have 3 days off this week!

Actually, I did read the rules carefully . . . I just thought Round 1 was different, as it was our self-representation (if that makes any sense). Since all of us were going to have a single vid after each production tag, it seemed like that rule wasn't going to apply and that the round wouldn't have a winner, though it turns out both assumptions were false.

Long story short, I just read a little too much into the rules--as usual! But thanks! ^^*

@deuceloosely: In other words, since you seemed to like my single vid, is it safe to assume it wasn't steaming crap--a.k.a. it's useable?

As I tend to not have a desire to heap steaming crap onto the collection (it stains :P), yeah. Anyway, if you have any questions, just ask.
