So far, all I have are entries from Tekdude and Desbo. I know there are more of you out there. I'm anxious to see what you're made of... ;)

Oh, OK, I see. To be honest, compared to others I'm still an AMV newb, so there's a lot of lingo I don't know. Would you be so sweet as to explain what a production tag is? It's silent, uh . . . right?

Or better yet, could you link an example? I just finished what I think you need, so hopefully it works!

Third post in a row!

I actually have the "AMV Buffet" vid ready . . . just further edited a short vid I made recently. Do we have to wait until you officially ask for them?

Well, to avoid confusion and one "challenge" running into another, I prefer the "buffet" videos come in starting on the date specified. As far as a production tag, it's kind of like that thing before every movie you see where they show you what studio made it (the MGM lion, the Universal globe, etc). Only it's your name or "studio" or whatever. Be creative and represent yourself well, I guess...

Thanks! I'll be sure to save the "buffet" video for later, then, though I already sent my production tag via YouSendIt. :)

Try and make the tag at least five seconds, but no longer than 15.

=======

Just to put a finer point on something, which I'll make sure is reflected on the front page, I will announce who won what round, although no one will see (at least from me) the winning entries until TekkoshoCon or 2-3 weeks after (whichever comes first for you).

Okay...keep those tags coming.

Round 1: Anime Buffet begins Sunday.

So, does that mean it's OK for us to post our entries independantly? (Of course, that's assuming we'd post them after the round is over.)

I'm a bit confused, is a tag the little picture at the bottom right corner like in AMV Hell the Motion Picture ? Or is it just a short AMV we make to represent ourselves. Like if a studio specializes in funny amvs, then they submit a hilarious 15 second long tag ?

Please clarify for me

Maybe I can clear this up. A tag is something that you put at the begining of your AMVs letting people know who you are.

You know, Like the big MTV logo at the beginning of Neopoleon Dynamite, or the MARVEL opening at the begining of all the comic book movies. something that people can see and automatically associate it with you or your studio.

If you need further help, pop in a DVD. Go to the menu and play the movie. The first thing you see after the black screen is usually the tag. It's short sweet and simple, but lets you know who it's by.

Pop in your DDR or Karaoke Revolution game, you see the Konami tag, followed by the Harmonix tag, so on and so forth. The Big SEGA at the beginning of all the Sonic games.

Alright, I'm almost ranting here, but if it isn't clear yet, take the time to look up "Production Tag" on a movie reference website. I'm sure they can help you out.

Hope this clears some stuff up! :)
And I thought nobody read these.

Do whatever you think makes your tag the best it can be. Make it as simple or extravagant as you want. It's your tag. Make it count. ;)

If you wish to. I'm not going to disqualify anyone for doing so, but remember the video and sound quality are significantly diminished through You Tube, Photobucket, and other such video hosting sites. The finished compilation is going to be polished and pristine as can be.

Who knows? I might be generous and let a preview slide through here and there... 8-)

I think I'd like to be apart if this too :D

Just two questions.
1) Your taking multiple entries for a single audio. Are you only going to show the winners, or be more like AMV Hell:CE and possibly show multiple videos with the same audio source if they're likable? [I know you said all entrants will get at least one video in the final production, this isn't about that >_>]

2) Do we absolutely have to use yousendit.com? Because I actually prefer savefile.com for uploading things for people to download >_>

thanks for taking the time to answer these questions ^^

1. I won't use two clips anywhere in the final compilation with the exact same sound clip (like two people using the same part of the song), but yes. If there are honorable mentions abounding, I'll throw them into the mix (which will be quite random). I'm considering separating clips and categorizing them by theme, but I probably won't settle on format until months from now.

2. I used YSI as an example. It doesn't matter what upload utility you use as long as it is reliable.
