This just hit me. The whole "Yuki reading quietly scene" just screams scenes I watched from Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou or to a certain extent Binchou-tan. Nothing happens, but don't you get a sense of peacefulness and tranquility? Given the amount of craziness that probably happened in past episodes, this is a welcome break. :P

Speculation says that Kyoto Animation's decision to end this anime at 14 episodes is due to their restaffing of manpower to work on the upcoming Kanon remake. This most likely is not true, however, since most anime episode counts are decided before the anime is aired.

Say it isn't so! Only 14 episodes?!? That would make episode 9 the last chronologically of the series. Assuming of course they plan to fill in all the holes they've made. It was a great episode, but for the middle of a series, not the end. Does anyone know if the manga keeps going, or if they're likely to do another season at some point?

Hopefully, since the novels that the anime are based on have many more stories, the manga at least should keep going even though the TV series may end. My hope is that the ratings are high enough that KyoAni will continue with a second or third season after they finish the Kanon remake.

Plus, poor Kyon needs some "quiet time".

Hmm... a sequel... I don't know... I've been burned before (Gundam SEED Destiny, Rozen Maiden Traumend)...

I feel that if a sequel is made, it'd be based on money and ratings rather than perhaps the original creative drive behind it unless it was intended to be that way from the start (ie. the difference between the Lord of the Rings Trilogy compared to Jurassic Park Trilogy) so I'm a bit apprehensive to the thought of a sequel... let's just see how this one finishes up first.

If the anime ends with this action, then there's no need for a second season! :o

Well it does appear that the manga is still going forward reguardless. Unless ofcourse this and this happen sometime in the next couple episodes. Which is possible, I guess, considering the nature of the series.

It's all part of a dream sequence from what I can gather. I sure wish I could read Japanese.

I am SO tempted on reading the spoilers because according to the other viewers, this episode was one of the most BADASS episodes in the entire series!

I was right! Episode 10 definetely delivered the goods. Let's just say the reason Yuki doesn't wear glasses on the later episodes will definetely be explained here. And once again Kyoto Animation are freakin' GODS of TV animation, and this episode didn't slouch on it.
The fight scene between Yuki and Ryoko was fu**ing awesome; the knife attacks, the blocks, and the barriers were unbelieveably top notch. It reminded me of the action scenes from Full Metal Panic: the Second Raid. And let's not forget the origin of Canada reference Haruhi made when she tries to determine why Ryoko left.

Of course that doesn't stop here.
Older Mikuru makes an appearance, and man what a knock out! 8-)

She does give Kyon a hint to remember Snow White for the near future. I think I know what's going to happen.

Best episode I've seen yet. The fight scenes makes lots of shounen action series look like CRAP!!! :o
Page 1: ....

Page 2: I guess closing my eyes would be the right thing to do at times like this...

But... what kinda of expression was on Haruhi's face?

--- It seems she was shaking in anger...

(i couldn't translate that one part) ... I don't know...

Though, I must be knocked out good... this feeling is too... good...

... because... ?
That is a REALLY BAD translation, but should give you an idea of what's going on.
