Ok, it's been some time and I've heard nothing back from genestarwind21122. I am going to take the Ghost of Mars track with Elfen Lied, hopefully I will have a beta by the deadline but I've been holding back to see what gene said.

Sorry I was up in West Virginia this past week. I'm going to look at everything here and post a new track listing to make sure I have everything right. Sorry about this, I jumped in to save the project. Just right now things are starting to settle down and I'll be able to get things organized.

How so? Also, is our specific goal supposed to be AWA? If so, has anything been arranged with the coordinator?

orwell ftw. But seriously, it isn't a false MEP it's just going through a rough transition. Prodigi (may he rest in peace*) just couldn't keep up with it (or got sick with it). Gene offered to take over but it isn't like Gene was expecting this so he was a little unprepared. Also, this is his first MEP to oversee so it's entirely understandable there may be some bumps in the road.

*yes i know prodigi isn't dead, but as far as the project is concerned he is

Okay.
First off, I'm fairly new at this. I'm also trying very hard not to do anything stupid (Although I already pmed the wrong guy before I contacted genestarwind). I do have one video to my credit, though I'm still fairly inexperienced with regards to video encoding and digital effects. At any rate, I'm quite willing to learn; I'm also quite familiar with the Dark Side of Phobos project, having downloaded it when it first debuted.

Second, I'm willing to take on the Hangarmageddon track. I pmed Genestar two days ago, but since I haven't gotten any response yet I went ahead and started to work on it; hope I'm not causing any offense, I'm just trying to make the beta line.

Video Notes:
-I'm using Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, which has several good Doom-esque horror sequences (only with killer geisha robots instead of demons). A little tricky, but far from impossible.
-Currently about a minute and a half into the song, and I've saved most of the main action sequences; the song does have a slow part up ahead, so I might end up trimming it down.
-Unless I'm mistaken, it looks like no-one's doing Welcome to Hell, making Hangarmageddon the first track. I'm starting the video out with scenes of soldiers/swat teams getting into position, but I can change it around some to better match whatever intro is used.

Let me know if I'm making any more errors here.

Doughboy left a little under a month ago.

I quit my current job and will be moving, probably going a month or 2 without my editing system. If this changes then I will post otherwise, but for now I have no time for editing.

I saw him go, I just thought it was filled. Alright, good luck on that. I still think we should have a new thread though so everything is better coordinated, since prodigi probably won't edit the front page. Or at least a summarizing post on the whole status. I'm here often and wouldn't mind coordinating this aspect of it.

All right, the beta is done: http://rapidshare.de/files/22584163/Section_9_Space_Marines__Beta_2_.wmv.html

Notes:
-The mpeg-2 version had a huge file size, 173 megabytes; am I doing something wrong there? It was 29.97 fps (With dropped frames, whatever that means) and 720 by 480, if that helps.
-The movie lags in a few scenes; not sure why, working on it.
-I know I need to crop out the black bars from the dvd footage, not sure how at the moment.

Any constructive feedback you all might have to offer would be highly appreaciated; I wouldn't want the Doom project to start out with a weak video.

Unfortuanetly I have to drop out of the project too. I just got hit up with a month of work for the Air National Guard coming up and I've been trying to get other things done. Plus it is pretty tough when you have to fire friends from work. I just saw the project was falling down and I thought to jump in and try to save it since nobody else was speaking up.

Sorry everybody if you can get orwell to do it that would be great.

Sorry to hear that your dropping out. Alright, I'll handle it. I'll make a new thread later with everything corrected and figure out what's going on, who's where, goals, etc.
