You're going to have to be more specific. Sigh's record Hail Horror Hail has been billed as "the soundtrack to a horror movie that doesn't exist", but sounds completely unlike, say, Mortician's entire catalog, which is composed of 40-minute records that are not only 60% horror-movie samples and 40% grunting over absurdly low and fast guitar riffs, but are also almost completely interchangeable with each other.

I'd recommend the Sigh, but you're more likely to find Mortician...and any random Mortician record should suffice. :?

You may also want to look up Goblin, who scored a lot of Dario Argento's stuff and are one of Sigh's major influences.

Resident Evil 1 has some creepy songs...

There is one song that is played in the staffs house (It may allso be a hotell) on the otherside of the yard that is best described with the words "Going Insane". Any way my point is that it rox! :D

I'd have to say Blood Duster's old music might work in that respect, some of their intro's are kinda creepy then its just brutal grindgore.

^ yeah, none of those are remotely creepy. Except for the fact that jrock bands are inherently creepy. But that has nothing to do with their music.

No one has said The Fantomas yet.

But yeah, horror is a broad term. Everything from Scream to the original The Amityville Horror to The Omen to Saw to The Birds fits in there. There are bands that definitely give out creepy vibes in their songs (like, hrm, Marilyn Manson, Icon of Coil, Combichrist, some KMFDM, etc. from the Industrial Techno or Rock side of the house). Then there is death metal (and very mean sounding techno genres like gloomcore and darkcore), which has that whole "I'll kill you and your dreams tonight" vibe. (That line is from Slayer who is just heavy metal, but meh). Then there is truly weird music, like some ethereal sonding electronic music that you get out of 50s and 60s horror films, sparse constructions of sound that often include theremins. Look for video game soundtracks, movie soundtracks, etc. for that type of music. (I recommend the Vagrant Story OST or the Secret of Mana OST if you can find them, there are some creepy songs on them.)
Life's short.

Plenty of good horror songs!

"Dream Warriors" and "Cry Of The Gypsy" by Dokken
"Love Kills" by The Vinnie Vincent Invasion
"Man Behind The Mask" by Alice Cooper
"Brave New Love" by Alien
"What If" by Creed

I think I know more, but those are just off the top of my head.

Most E Nomine songs..

Also check out Eiko Shimamiya's song called "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni", it's an opening to an anime with the same title of the song.

Good luck~

I agreen, Enomine has some out there sounding music if you can get past the chanting which seems to be on every on of there songs. As stated earlier Fantomas gets pretty wicked but in a tasteful way. Another suggestion I would like to make is Phantom of the Opera by Nightwish, why not use a song from one of the best horror stories around. Creepy, gothic, horror story....
