I've heard of this series. Is it any good? I'm getting the first ep right now.

Some people are complaining at the pace of the series even at this moment so you're not the only one.

Basically, since I fell in love with the characters (especially Rin and Saber), the pacing really doesn't bother me. I have a good feeling that all this build up will lead to a huge payoff. It worked for X TV. :P

It'd be nice where the anime followed the game to the point where the hero gets into the main babe's pants.... [ala Tsukihime, but I hate tragic endings...]

Saber and Emiya would have cool babies...
Or Tohsaka and Emiya, but that's if they don't kill each other first....

Episode 11 looked pretty good (I just scanned a raw briefly), and the preview for ep 12... even more ass stomping!

I dig this show so much I preordered the first DVD (R2) despite it's overly extravagant price tag and my nearly empty wallet. I've never been motivated to import like this before, I hope it actually shows up.

Oh man!!!! Episode 11 not only looks good, IT KICKS HUGE AMOUNT OF ASS!!!! Seriously, this the best episode I've seen so far! 8-)

Shirou's physical and magical training seriously paid off. He was able to do a better Reinforce spell against Shinji, and he was able to endure Shinji's magical attacks. He totally wasted him! And Shinji was such a wuss!

And another awesome thing is he finally summoned Saber in order to battle of Rider who pretty much injured Shirou quite a bit. Rider certainly has her ellegance in her fighting style, but Saber was obviously stronger. Though Rider's Noble of Phantasm attack was surprisingly very gory; it involved stabbing herself on the neck in which her blood covered the entire area. Her ultimate attack certainly makes up for her weak physical attack strength.

And then finally, Shirou admits to Saber that's he's an idiot, and he's willing fight along side with her.

There is a Round 2 between Saber and Rider, and it looks like it'll be more dynamic than this one. The producers seriously set the bar high in this episode; I hope they don't waste it.

yah, they look good together. :D but shirou wasted a magical symbol summoning saber... and about shirou's ability to create stuff, hmmm, it might make him be able to upgrade saber or something, add weps and such or modify her armor to be really strong. lol

Episode 11 was the shit. It was so freaking intense! :D

I agree, Saber and Shirou (I think thats his name...) do make a cute couple. ;)

I cannot wait for episode 12! :D

After seeing this series, I want to see Tsukihime. :)

Oh, I may warn you. Tsukihime is not really as action-packed as Fate/stay night (and not to mention, it's not a very good adaptation to the original PC game; well, except for the ending ). It does focus more on character interactions in relation to the creepy mysteries and atmosphere. The payoff is good especially if you like Shiki and Arcueid and a few other characters. It's just that there's SO much more in the Tsukihime universe than what the anime portrayed it as (and not to mention lots more plots and lots more characters).

It's still my favorite series, and I do encourage you to check it out (now since Geneon released all the DVDs).

Oh well, just as long as its good overall.

Sounds intresting, I'll check it out sometime. :)

Oh yeah episode 12, baby!!! 8-)

Before the awesome second round battle between Saber and Rider started, there was a very cute moment between Saber and Shirou on the park bench. Now as for the battle...
...even though Rider is weaker in offense than Saber, the battleground brought Saber into a very disadvantage point. That point is the rooftop. Even worse, Rider summoned her white winged horse (which I'm guessing it's Pegasus) of which she just flew around and striking Saber at her blind spots. And then once Shirou makes it to the rooftop, Shinji taunts the both of them and ordered Rider to destroy Saber immediately. Rider then unleashed her Nobel Phantasm called Bellerophon. Saber then decided to counter it with own which involved revealing her sword. And behold, the sword is Excaliber which I believe it's proof enough that Saber's True Name is King Arthur. Saber was indeed the victor; Rider is gone, and Shinji's command spells are destroyed.

Next episode!!!
