Dual Layer Media - $1.64/disc

NewEgg currently has a sale going for a 25pack of Ridata 2.4x DVD+R DL discs for $40, which works out to $1.64 per disc, which so far is definitely the best per disc rate that I've seen, without it going into the 200pk range.

It says it's a Weekend sale so its quite likely that this'll actually be expired by the time most people see it tomorrow, but I figured I'd post it anyway.

Another DL sale going on is at Best Buy for a 20pk of 2.4x Verbatim DVD+R DL discs for $40, which comes to around $2 per disc. No idea when this sale ends.

For those that are unaware, DL media holds 8.5gb of data as opposed to the 4.7gb of single layer discs (almost all modren DVD movies are put on DL media).

I've never used Verbatim or Ridata so I can't speak for the quality.

Do you need a special burner to burn in dual layer?

Yes. Most newer DVD burners will burn Double Layer/Dual Layer discs. You'll need to check the specs to make sure.
