Besides for the music that you hear on the radio, most artists have songs that are potent and thoughtful. It just so happens that marketing rarely allows for those types of songs to be pushed commercially.

I agree with you on that tip, but listen to the artist that have commercial hits, but not the stuff they play on the radio from that artist. Listen to the songs that don't make the radio, they are sometimes more insightful (i.e. David Banner).....

it was a slow proccess but the year rap died is a lot before 2000 in my opinion
eminem existed before 2000! :\

This begs for an KRS-One qoute so I'll be just short and say that Hip-Hop is a culture and rap is just an element in it. Electronica is also Hip-Hop and so on and so on. Rap never died, but you know that.

Lol....

I would concur with that...

Hip-hop involves a lot of things more than just the rap aspect of it. Turntablism, b-boying/breakdancing, tagging/graffiti, as well as a myriad of other things and concepts...

I've seen this done before and I hate it! It just doesn't seem to go right in an amv. But then again...if someone could make an amv with rap music and it was good then they've definitly got some good skills![/b]
