Cowboy Bebop Blues

 Wow...I knew the anime was kick ass..but the music even more so...It ranges from the Memphis old south blues I love so much to the light jazz piano music you can't help but mellow out to..It also has fast paced stuff like "Tank" which is the opening music to the anime...and some songs like "Rain" that you can't help but love...And while the CD's are imports (my #1 item on my wish list being the CD box set)..I'd say it's well worth the price for music like this..
(heh..and yes..I've downloaded alot of the music, but the CD's are a definate must now!)
Just thought I'd share this little tidbit with ya'll....

The boxset is nice, but I'd only recommend it to hardcore fans. I suggest getting OSTs 1-3 and Vitaminless instead.

Future Blues is good too (and Ask DNA), but it's more of a mixed bag. There's some awful stuff on there as well as some great stuff.

I'm all sad because Kanno's soundtrack for GitS:SAC has been thoroughly unimpressive so far, IMO. Sounds like Korn or something

I'm going to take that pic out of my sig because it's a mite big vertically, but the full image is here.

Showing my ignorance here, but what is GitS:SAC?

Me, I just got No Disc and Blues today. Although, I didn't get them from CDJapan. I found a local store that sold them cheap ($14.99). ^_^

I got them to order Trigun OSTs, and I'm gonna try for FLCL next.

So far, I love the variety of No Disc; it goes all over the spectrum (currently listening to The Singing Sea. It makes me feel all calm and peaceful, with a hint of melancholy). I haven't popped in Blues yet, but I am highly looking forward to it.

I want to do a video for Green Bird... I'll have to think about it while I plan out my video for Colorless Sky from Trigun.

But I'm digressing. To summarize:

Cowboy Bebop OSTs are the roxxor. Yoko Kanno owns me.

Oops, sorry - stands for Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex. The new TV series... Yoko Kanno is doing the music.
I thought she'd be drawing on Kenji Kawai's (?) influence and using more tribal sounds, but blah. It sounds like run of the mill nu-metal so far.
