This is the last day to submit your videos, or you will not be featured in the final product.
If you wish to arrange some sort of extension, you will need to contact me via email at garylisk@gmail.com and tell me how far along you are on it, arrange to send me a beta encode, and give me a realiztic date when you can be done.
I will not be contacting you authors personally, so if you don't read this thread, you obviously don't care enough about the project to take part in it.
On a personal note, I am very sad at how poorly this has done, what with people forgetting about its very existance, not meeting the deadline I gave, and then extended more than a month further.
For those people who worked on their segments, finished them, showed such enthusiasm, and made me feel that this project had a chance of being completed with a full 10 editor line up - Thank you.
And to Stolen Soul, the number 1 fan of this MEP, you were VERY enthusiastic... so much so that I had to stop loading AIM when I wanted to get any work done on other projects I am doing. Thanks for chit-chatting with me so much.
Will there actually BE a final product? I hope so. Look forward to it, folks. It's bound to be a flop overall, I think... but I also think that many of you will truly enjoy this.

Sadly, I have nothing... or rather I have plenty of unrefined footage slapped onto a timeline that I'd dare not show anyone. I started this in high hopes of completing it swiftly, but once December hit and I had to move an hour away from work, I had no free time to work on it further. Doesn't help though that this was being done throughout an intense/time-consuming holiday season, and I don't see any real reason to force it out the door so soon other than to make sure people were actually going to finish it up.

My last MEP took 3 years and only had half as many finished tracks as I was hoping.doughboy wrote:I don't see any real reason to force it out the door so soon other than to make sure people were actually going to finish it up.
Making sure people finish is kind of important.

I am sitting at home, twiddling my thumbs, because I do not have internet access. (At the Library right now)GMD_God wrote:so what exactly is going on now?
I should have internet back by March. I hope sooner.
As for the project itself.... It's dissapointing. Out of multiple editors who signed up, only a few delivered, and a couple delivered somewhat dissapointing segments. A few segments are exceptional, though. Overall, it means that this project, when assembled, is not too bad, but feels way too short with a lot left to be desired.
When and if I manage to get another MEP going (I'm trying right now with some luck, but it's ssslllooowww...) I hope it doesn't end up like this one did.
The number one problem with this project, I think, is that many people did not quite "get" the concept.
Expect a release before too long... I just have to get my net back up and running. (Long story short: I moved back into my mom's house, and my bedroom is under construction. Once we get all the walls put up, we will work on wiring the network jack in there to the router which is upstairs where the cable modem is plugged in at. We did some really extensive wiring, but once my room is done, it will have been worth it.)
